NKOTBSB: Performing New Years Eve

As some of you already know, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys are going on tour together! This is a dream come true for Boy Band Lovers! When I was younger, I had NKOTB posters on my wall. I remember having a hot pink t-shirt with the guys in tuxes-that was one of my favorite things to wear.

A couple of years ago NKOTB came on tour to my city. At the time money was really low and I couldn't afford to buy a ticket to their concert. I was a little bummed about not being able to go, and would have been a dream come true. Some of my friends won tickets and brought me along. Thanks guys! (You know who you are!) It really was a fun concert, and Lady Gaga opened for them before she was big in the industry. It was such an amazing concert! They sang all their great old songs, as well as their new songs from their newest album. AMAZING!

The Backstreet Boys had some great hits like, I Want It That Way, Larger Than Life, As Long As You Love Me-to name a few. I loved their songs, but some of the guys were kind of creapy like...AJ. To me he never seemed to really fit the rest of the band.

Now you can get a double dose of Boy Bands as NKOTB and BSB joining together as they go on tour. Personally, I would love to see the triple threat with NSYNC as well. Now that would be an AMAZING concert! I'm still waiting for the day when NSYNC does another tour.

On New Years Eve, NKOTBSB will be singing at 11:38 p.m. to 11:46 p.m. ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: Musical Performance by Backstreet Boys & NKOTB Backstreet Boys & New Kids On The Block perform a medley of their hit songs at the Nivea Countdown Stage. Click here to see the Offical Page of the New Year's Eve Countdown.

Tickets for the NKOTBSB are already on sale. Click here for more details.

And if anyone wants to go to a concert at a nearby city with me, let me know! There may not be another concert like this!

There have been some pretty amazing TV Shows that we've said farewell to this year. I think you will agree with me as you scroll down. Hopefully, you will have fond memories as we say a final goodbye to our favorite shows.

TV shows are presented in no particular order.

Ugly Betty

The Tyra Banks Show

Lost
The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brian

The Hills

As the World Turns

Law and Order

Heros

Nip/Tuck

I know for some people, they hated the ending of LOST and it was all over Facebook for days, but then there was others that loved the ending. What shows in 2010 ended on either a good or bad note for you? Bittersweet? Why?

Modern Family Has A New Guest Star

Who doesn't love Modern Family? The show really has some of the best lines ever! After every show I always leave laughing or smiling. One of my biggest complaints about the show is that its only a half hour. :)

The story follows the families of Jay Ed O'Neill, his daughter Claire Julie Bowen, and his son Mitchell Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Claire is married to Phil Ty Burrell who plays an arrogant/cool hilarious father; and they have three children; Haley (totally into the wrong type of guys according to her mother), Alex (the smart kid), and Luke (who is a bit spacey and does weird things). Jay re-married young Colombian woman, Gloria Sofía Vergara, and is helping her raise her ten year old son, Manny-who acts more like an adult than a kid (Claire and Mitchell's step brother). Mitchell and his partner Cameron Eric Stonestreet have adopted a Vietnamese baby named Lily.

The cast really couldn't be any better, or could it?

According to TVSquad, James Marsdon will be on the show starring in five episodes. Marsdon plays a new neighbor to Cam and Mitchell-who meets them after jumping in their hot tub uninvited. Yes ladies, that means Marsdon will have his shirt off. LOL
Modern Family's new episode airs January 5th on ABC.

Mark Paul: Rising Beyond The Bar

All of us know and love Mark. He is best known for his roles on Saved By The Bell, NYPD Blue, or Raising the Bar. Ever since I was little Zack Morris played a big part in my life. I woke up to him every Saturday morning waiting to see what Zack might be up to. Last week I was flipping through the channels, and the had an E True Hollywood Story on the Saved By the Bell Cast. I learned that Marks first kiss was while filming Saved By the Bell. Some of the producers of the show said that ... "the kids of Saved By The Bell literally grew up in front of the cameras. The experienced first kisses, proms, graduation, and they dated each other."

I was looking on IMDB and Mark was in a relationship with Lark Voorhies aka Lisa Turtle, for three years while filming Saved By The Bell. (1989-1992) It explains a lot of chemistry they had on screen. One episode sticks out the most is where Zack helps Lisa with her fashion show and they kiss, and Screech walks in carrying some roses for Lisa. I believe he dated the other actresses from the show as well.

I also learned some cool trivia of shows that he appeared on before Saved By The Bell. (I don't count Good Morning Miss Bliss: Saved by The Bell-most of that cast bugged-Like Nikki and Mikey lol)

Blossum-as Kevin 1992
Charles in Charge- as Philip 1988
Punky Brewster- as Walker 1988
The Wonder Years- as Brad 1988
The Highway to Heaven- as Rolf 1986

I loved some of those shows. I think my dad used to watch The Highway To Heaven when I was little and that is how I know about that show. I believe it stared Michael Landon. It makes me want to go back and watch those shows. They were all classics.

Some of his hobbies are cycling, motocross and auto racing. He is also an avid pilot. Oh and his nickname is M-P, not Zack (which he probably wont answer to)-just incase you see him around town looking for motorbikes.

Mark's favorite episode of Saved by the Bell is "Running Zack", the episode where Zack explores and learns about his Native American heritage and forms a close bond with a local Indian. Mark also hated the lime light. He called himself an introvert and wished he was more like Zack Morris in School. He seems like a pretty shy guy, which was totally different from the character that he played.
AND did anyone see Mark on Jimmy Fallon when he played Zack Morris again? It was so fun to see his character again. I posted the video's below.

PART 1

PART 2

This year, Mark Paul Gosselaar has had a hard year. At the end of 2009 TNT decided to cancel Raising the Bar due to lower ratings. Then in June earlier this year He and his former wife Lisa Ann Russell, (who he met on Saved By The Bell: The College Years) and both are seeking joint custody of their two children Michael and Ava. There has been a rumor that Lisa had an affair with the Survivor Host Jeff Probst, who she was seen dating in August. Who knows for certain? Divorce is always a hard thing when children are also involved.

Since the split in June, Mark is now shooting another TV series for TNT. Any guesses on what it could be? He's done the cop thing and the attorney thing-that seem to be super popular right now. According to On The Air and IMDB Mark is doing another Attorney show called, Franklin & Bash. Mark plays Steven Bash, with cast members Breckin Meyer and Claire Coffee. TNT hasn't released an air date yet for Franklin & Bash. I'll do my best to keep you posted.

And here is just a fun video from one of the episodes of SBTB where Zack pretends to be Bambi and goes on a date with Screech.

Life Is Unexpected

One of my favorite shows right now on the CW, (along with many others) is Life Unexpected. Starring Kerr Smith as Ryan, Shiri Appleby as Cate, Kristoffer Polaha as Nate or better known as Baze, and Brittany Robertson as Lux.

Life Unexpected is currently in their second season, which to me is so much better than the first season. The show is about a mom (Cate) who got pregnant in high school and she gave her daughter up for adoption, and never told (Baze) the father of the baby. Cate thought her daughter would be adopted. Lux (the daughter) comes back into her parents lives at the age of 16 wanting her real parents to sign papers for her to be awarded emancipation, instead Cate and Baze were given costody of her. Her parents find out that Lux has lived a life of foster care, and she has lived a pretty messed up life.

According to TVSQUAD the numbers are down from season one. CW isn't going to be making the final decision about the show until May 2011. To me this is very interesting because the second season is so much better than the first.

For example: Baze is doing something with his life besides bar tending, Lux is dating a teacher, Cate and Ryan seem to be working on their relationship that crumbled and putting the pieces back, Baze has a girlfriend that he works with at his father's company; and we just found out Baze's dad has slept with Baze's girlfriend...THE SCANDAL! Lux has a brain problem from a Foster Care Dad who threw her down the stairs, and so much more.

Season 2 is definitely more dramatic and so much more interesting than the first, so this surprises me that the ratings are so low. To me 1.5 Million viewers isn't low, but I don't know much about the whole rating thing. Its always a bummer when one of your favorite shows is going to be cancelled or is cancelled.

Life Unexpected will have their two hour season finale on January 18 on the CW. Make sure you watch it! TVSQUAD also said not to plan on the whole series being wrapped up the way the fans might want it to be, but will do their best. I just found this article on TVSQUAD that on April 5 the complete series will be released on DVD, so I wouldn't plan on a return of this series.

I'd like TV ratings to somehow be able to rate all those people who DVR or TIVO their shows. I do that with almost all of my shows, and think ratings would be a lot larger for all shows, and maybe our favorites shows wont be cancelled so early.

Each season is about 13 or so episodes so there is definitely time to watch the whole series before January 18th on the CW. Whether its a goner or a miracle comeback, lets send it out with a BANG!

Celeb Pics of 2010

So yesterday, I was on msn.com in the entertainment section, and they had pictures of Celebrities of 2010. There is over 100 of them, and towards the end I found a couple of pictures that I thought would be fun to share. These two pictures I call, The Most Disturbing Pictures of 2010. These are presented to you in no particular order.

Renee Zellweger

This picture to me is disturbing for several reasons. 1) This picture looks like a really bad photoshop job, where someone plopped on a head at the most awkward position possible. 2) If this is NOT a photoshop picture, (which I don't think it is...) how does Renee twist her head that far? I mean really? Try it! I know you just tried it, I did and now my neck hurts. The position of her head reminds me of birds and how they are able to turn there neck from front to back. Kind of creapy! AND if she ever has kids or if she does...how sad for her kids...she can literally see what is going on behind her. Those kids aren't getting away with anything. To Renee, I say, "You had me at Hello." And I present to you the 2010 Bird Award.

Lady Gaga

Okay, who seriously didn't see a Lady Gaga picture coming? I'm sure there are others from 2010, but this one was on the msn site. First of all, awkward outfit. Do you ever wonder where she comes up with her costumes ideas? To me it looks like she is either Jack Frosts Sister, or she has Fungus growing on her. I'm going with the Fungus. I enjoy most of her music, but I wonder how long it takes for her to put on the fungus? Does anyone know? Its not only on her body but her clothes...Honestly if she weren't Lady Gaga and you saw someone walking down the street like this...that would be a little awkward, and disturbing. Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-Roma-ma-ah! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la! To you I give the 2010 Fungus Award.

On Stranger Tides

Last week the new Pirates Trailor came out. The movie picks up where the last movie left off. On Stranger Tides, is about Jack trying to find the Fountain of Youth so he can live forever.

There are a few things already that kind of bug me about the new movie. 1. Will and Elizabeth aren't in this movie. 2. They tried to get characters that look similar to them. I think if its a new cast-get totally new characters that don't look so much like the old ones. 3. Barbossa looks weird.

I don't know if you can do this or not, but from the Trailor alone, I give the new pirate movie 2.5 stars out of five. I don't think it will be as big as the other movies. As much as I love Jack Sparrow, The Pirate movies are losing two of their leading characters, one of which is pretty much dead, and no heart. (BTW I totally hated the ending of the last movie, it was sad and they totally didn't need to kill him-even if he didn't want to return for the next movie.) I could totally go on and on about that, Anywho...I think Johnny Depp will do a great job with leading the movie, but I feel like it will lose some of its magic.

I'll still be watching the movie, and as of right now I'm not ready to run out and buy a ticket on opening night. I hope I stand corrected because I really do love the Pirates Series.

Below is link is the trailer for On Stranger Tides

David Archuleta Singing with the Motab

This morning I went to the Christmas Concert where David Archuleta and Mike York performed and sung with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. To get these hot tickets you had to enter at lds.org and winners were randomly selected. I didn't win any tickets. :( Yesterday, I called my friend Linzi to see if she wanted to try and get some standby tickets to get in. We decided not to, and a couple of hours later she got tickets from one of our mutual friends who had a couple extra tickets. It was really amazing!

I was very impressed with David Archuleta. Even though he is still very young, he just seems so composed, and focus. I've seen David Archuleta one other time when the American Idols came into town and young girls screamed very loud. I noticed today though, I'm sure with much more practice, that he has a lot more confidence singing on the stage. He was born to sing to millions. Even if you aren't a member for the LDS Church, you have to admit just hearing the choir sing, is breath taking. I can't imagine what an honor it must have been for David to sing with the choir backing him in some songs.

Mike York, who played a college professor on one of my favorite TV's Gilmore Girls, was the narrator of the performance. As a tradition he repeated the Christmas Story from Luke 2. It never seizes to amaze me who strong the spirit is when reading/hearing the True meaning of Christmas.

I found this movie clip of some of the highlights from the concert on youtube, for those who many have been unable to attend.

The concert will be on DVD and CD next Christmas Season 2011!

Smallville 10th and Final Season

My good Friend Linzi introduced me to the great show of Smallville. I was in between jobs over the summer and she lent me the First Season of Smallville. At first I was a little sceptical about it. I'm a Fringe fan as well and it kind of had a Fringe fill to it. In Fringe, they always start the episode out with some weird mystery that they have to solve. With Smallville it usually had to do with the Green kryptonite and how they can stop the person infected by it. In second episode of Smallville there is an episode where this guy (Clark goes to school with) collects bugs, and eventually he turns into the bug man. To be honest it kind of creeped me out, and didn't know if I wanted to keep watching, but I did and I'm really glad.

I just love Smallville. I watched all 8 Season's my friend had in maybe a month or so. Then I was dying to watch season 9 which I bought off of itunes because I couldn't wait. LOL

My all time favorite episode thus far is the episode Homecoming where Clark gets visited by an old friend who takes him back to the past, present, and the future. There he finally starts becoming the man we have all waited for, since season one. He starts moving forward in his life rather than dwelling on the past.

There are so many good moments of Clark and Lois. Some of my favorites are, when Lois is sitting in the electrical chair and having to answer honestly if she loves Clark, the episode where Clark and Lois hook up for a bit and drop in on Lana's and Lex's Wedding Dinner, When Lois gets infected by the red kryptonite-and becomes super extreme about her and Clark's relationship, when they did the talk show together, at end of Homecoming where they dance in the barn, when Clark finally tells Lois who he really is, and his proposal to Lois.

Although I love where they're relationship is at now, I'd really love to see him become superman...and if He only flies on the last episode I'm not going to be very happy. Now they are halfway through the season and it would be nice to see him fly for a bit before the show goes off the air, and becoming superman.

What are your favorite moments? When do you think Clark will finally fly?

Wildcat Breakup

For years, we've known this couple, and to millions we know them as Troy and Gabriella, but to the world they were known as one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. Reported earlier this week, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens ended their five year relationship.

Many have memorized their sweet dance moves and songs from High School Musical. The dance was even preformed by Phil on Modern Family. (Season 1) High School Musical will be remembered for many lifetimes to come.

They have been secretive about their relationship, not wanting to get the public involved. This is understandable, but also when you're in the lime light like they are, its almost unavoidable. Take Ryan Reynolds for example: He and his not so much wife kept their marriage on the DL for years, and now they are getting a divorce. I'm not saying they should tell us everything, but when they are so secretive...is that a clue to us that it won't last forever like the Wildcat Love we've known for years?

And is anyone excited for the two new men on the prowl? Ryan and Zac? What about the fella's out there? Have you gone goo goo for Vanessa? If you had one pick up line you could use what would it be and who would you use it on?
