My Take on The Craigslist Killer, Pretty Little Liars, The Biggest Loser and Parenthood

The Craigslist Killer (Lifetime Movie): The movie starts off at school where Philip is working towards being a doctor. He sees a girl while doing his residency that he ends up asking out, Megan. For their first date he took her gambling. Who does that? Seriously? Nothing says I’d love to go with you on another date than gambling. LOL
Six months into their relationship Megan moved in with Philip and he proposes to her. Before she would accept his proposal she wanted him to meet her parents. After he charms her parents and gets her fathers approval, he proposes one more time just outside her parents house as they are about to get in the car.
During their engagement Philip starts becoming the Craigslist killer. He starts off by just meeting girls from the Internet and taking their undies as a souvenir, and putting it under the same mattress that he and Megan slept on. One thing leads to another; maybe for a bigger thrill he goes and gets a gun, and a bunch of duck tape from the store. I wont ruin the ending for you incase you haven’t seen it yet and are planning to do so, but this I can tell you. With this being a “Lifetime Movie” I planned on a lot more cheesiness and funny lines. There really wasn’t a lot of that. The acting was really good, and they may have just pulled off the super cheesy lines. LOL

Pretty Little Liars: So I got all caught up on PLL (Pretty Little Liars) before the season premier Monday night. I have to say that I really like the show. I love all the drama. I also love trying to figure out the mystery. I know that PLL is based off of a book series and I’m super tempted to read the books so I can find out who this A is. It’s kind of driving me nuts. I have my suspicions of who it is-and I could be totally wrong.

Here is my list:
Melissa (Spencer’s Sister): Those two seem like there is a lot of bad blood between them even though they are trying to cover some of that up right now. I think there is enough motive for her to be A. Why not put her sister threw the ringer and drag her friends along for the ride? Melissa could also be working with Ian?
Jenna (The Blind Girl): I don’t think she is blind. She has also been around some of the events where A has left messages, but I do think that someone could be helping her out.
Lucas (Hanna’s Yearbook Friend): After watching the episode twice, I’m convinced that he is the one that left the message on Hanna’s cast because A apologizes about earlier and then says Love A. I think he has been a “fan” of the whole group, and he’s been around watching them for years. Below is a conversation that Allison has with Hanna, and I think Allison ended up telling the truth at the wrong time.
Something that bugged me about the episode was how long does someone need to be in the hospital for, for a broken leg? Days? I mean, be a man, rub some dirt in it! Can’t you just lay in bed and take those meds at home, instead of being in the hospital for days? I mean really?
The funniest line of the show is when Jenna (the blind girl) overhears Emily calling to see Toby in jail, and they get into a little tiff. Emily says this to Jenna. "Somebody should have stepped between you too a long time ago. Maybe a social worker with a bucket of ice water."
I decided to add the conversation the Allison has with Hanna while she is in the hospital. It could be important, and the dialog is kind of funny.
Allison: Did you miss me? Here I am. It’s complicated Hanna. Really complicated. Worse than Algebra Hanna.
Hanna: What happened when you left the barn? We all want to know.
Allison: You already do. The four of you combined. You remember more about that night than you think you do.
Hanna: Where'd you go? To meet a boy? Noel?
Allison: Noel? Please.
Hanna: Please just tell me the truth.
Allison: It won't make a difference, darling.
Hanna: How can you say that?
Allison: Because I know. You think the truth is some shinning disco ball of purity? Then go ahead and try it. Be honest. See what it gets you. Telling the truth to the wrong person at the wrong time is how I ended up where I am. Take it from me; you're always better off with a really good lie. Gotta Go.
Hanna: Where?
Allison: I was so scared that you were going to die. That's why I came back. I didn't care how dangerous it was. I had to see you. You know I really should do something about A.

Also in this episode, Lucas sneaks into Hanna’s hospital room and kisses her on the forehead. When confronted later, Hanna says she just likes him as friends and Lucas leaves all mad.
Emily tells her dad that she is gay.
And the tree that had the heart carved in it Allison Loves Ian has been cut down, and the last scene is the log burning of the carving in the tree.
Message Hanna’s cast:
Sorry about losing my temper. My Bad
Love A

Who do you think is A?

The Biggest Loser: The show started out where contestants instead of going to their first work out they had their first challenge. Teams who finished a 5k first got to pick their trainers. They either got Bob and Jillian or Two Mystery trainers and four weeks of immunity.
What bugged me the most about the whole episode was they never showed the stupid new trainers! How irritating! They had all they hype and I don’t know why they couldn’t just show us. I mean really? Do they have scary looking and have warts all over their face? Is this really necessary to drag out another whole week?
It was funny cause Jillian said that she wasn't going to yell this season. Bob made fun of her saying, "Jillian saying she's not going to yell is like saying a lion won't roar, or a cat won't purr." He went on and on. Totally made me laugh.

Parenthood: Adam shows up to the shelter where Haddie has been working and met her boyfriend. (who is a recovering alcoholic) to invite him over for dinner so they could meet him. Max says some pretty funny things while Haddie boyfriend Alex is over like…”You’re black.” Or “Oh you’re poor.” I was totally laughing. Can you imagine how embarrassing that would be if that happened to you? HA HA Although Haddie’s parents were impressed on how Alex has changed his life and is making better choices, they decide to tell Haddie that she can no longer date Alex. When she later sees Alex she doesn’t tell him. Dun dun dun… Who can blame Haddie when she gets to kiss darker chocolate when it has richer the taste? Why can't parents see how happy their kids are and trust them a little? I guess they wouldn't be parents then would they?

Jasmine asks for Crosby’s help in disciplining their son Jabar. Crosby first tries to teach Jabar to help out by talking to him man to man, but when Jabar rats on him after cleaning his whole room for him—Jasmine gets mad and tells him he can no longer be his friend and needs to be his father. Crosby lays down the law when Jabar doesn’t listen to him about cleaning his room and instead gets called, “The Worst Dad in the world.” OUCH!

Sarah’s son, Drew tells his friends at school that he had a beer with his grandpa and his friends invite themselves over for one. Zeke, Drew’s grandpa walks in and stops the party and sends the rest of the boys home. Drew ends up telling his mom about the beer he shared with his grandpa and Sarah gets mad at her dad, who promises to let her handle the problem. Sarah decides to tell her kids a little about the real problem their dad had with drinking, and that the problem could be genetic and they need to be extra careful. Sarah also decides with the New Year to set a goal not to date all year. I don’t know about you but I’m thinking when John Corbett comes into the picture that could change? I guess we’ll have to wait and see for next week.

Can't wait for Modern Family tomorrow. On ABC.

Parenthood: Guest Starring John Corbett

I believe in Season 1 of Parenthood, Lauren Graham's character only interacts with her ex-husband once in the first episode played by Darin Heames, and he was what I remember as scary looking. My eyes can rest easy knowing that John Corbett will now be playing her ex-husband on the show.

I've noticed lately that John Corbett has been playing a lot of roles playing a father. He was recently on a Holiday Halmark movie the November Christmas, and Ramona Beezus. I really love seeing him in the role of a father. He does such a great job at it and it will be fun to see what he does with this character. John is really one of those actors that I love more and more I see him on screen.

In Parenthood, Corbett plays a recovering achoholic who has been sober for nine months, and is coming to town with his band. While in town he tries to reconnect with his kids. For now, sources say he will be in three episodes. source

Parenthood, returns TODAY on NBC 10/9c! Be sure to check it out! Another source says Parenthood could be in trouble because ratings were down the first half of the season.

Sandra and Ryan, Ringing in the New Year Together

Many of you have watched the movie The Proposal, Starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. The movie is a romantic comedy where Ryan is an assistant to Sandra, who plays his controlling boss and tricks him into marrying her, by promising to promote him. (so she wont get deported to Canada) And they end up falling in love along the way.

After hearing about Jessie James cheating on Sandra, I always thought she and Ryan should hook up, but Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson. Well not so much anymore! Friends told PEOPLE that Sandra and Ryan rung in the new year together at Sandra's restaurant Bess Bistro.

Although they have never been more than friends and as of now they are saying, "There is nothing romantic between them." I wouldn't be surprised to see this Hollywood couple hooking up! Don't you think they make a cute couple? They had great onscreen chemistry and I think they would become Hollywoods HOTTEST couple of this happened.

I'm So Excited...I'm So Scared

Elizabeth Berkley was a well known character on Saved By the Bell. She played Jessie Spano (Zack next door neighbor). Elizabeth played a character that was very serious about her academics and getting into Harvard, and was usually paired with AC Slater (Mario Lopez). Although Mario is much more attractive now, it makes you wonder what she thought about that mullet he wore?

I'm now going her (Liz). Liz went out for the role of Kelly Kapowski. The producers had a hard time deciding between Liz and Tiffiany Thiessen, so they created the role of Jessie Spano for her. She played Jessie Spano for four years and decided it was time to try something different.

So Liz went off and did the movie Showgirls. A role definitely different from her role on SBTB. She said this about Showgirls. "Ever since those reviews for Showgirls (1995), it's like I was that woman in "The Scarlet Letter". Except that instead of having to wear the letter "A" for adulteress, I was condemned to wear an "S" for "showgirl".

Since Showgirls, Liz has tried to pick better roles. Liz said, "It's been a very conscious choice on my part to work with the best - even if it was taking a small supporting role. After Showgirls (1995), I really wanted to surround myself with the best people. I wanted to build it that way instead of doing flashy roles just like "Showgirls", which would have hurt me."

Since Showgirls Liz has been featured on, CSI Miami, Law & Order, Threshold, Without a Trace, CSI, NYPD Blue, Jack and Jill, and the First Wives Club to name a few.

Here are some other cool facts about Liz you may not know.
*
She has two different colored eyes-one is green and half brown and the other eye is green.

*She tried out for the movie Annie, but didn't get the part because she was too tall.

*Liz wore a$600 form-fitting gown made entirely of collard greens for the "Lettuce Be Lean" campaign sponsored by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals. According to "People Weekly", a source claims "she had to be misted every 20 minutes, like a produce section". (Some people might think this is a bad idea to wear food for a dress. Well here are some thoughts I have. 1.) Liz was ahead of her time, Lady Gaga now wears food often as a dress. So really Liz is a trend setter and way ahead on the times. Makes you wonder if she ever used Screech's time machine or something? It just took 13 years before Gaga would try it. 2.) When she got bored or hungry at the campaign, all she had to do was pull off a collard green. I'm sure this made her the most popular person there, and she most likely had spray butter in her purse.)

*Liz married been married since 2000 to her husband Greg Lauren, who is a famous nude painter. (Sounds a little like Titanic to me-without the sinking ship of course.)

Here is a fun clip of Liz on SBTB

NKOTBSB: Performing New Years Eve

As some of you already know, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys are going on tour together! This is a dream come true for Boy Band Lovers! When I was younger, I had NKOTB posters on my wall. I remember having a hot pink t-shirt with the guys in tuxes-that was one of my favorite things to wear.

A couple of years ago NKOTB came on tour to my city. At the time money was really low and I couldn't afford to buy a ticket to their concert. I was a little bummed about not being able to go, and would have been a dream come true. Some of my friends won tickets and brought me along. Thanks guys! (You know who you are!) It really was a fun concert, and Lady Gaga opened for them before she was big in the industry. It was such an amazing concert! They sang all their great old songs, as well as their new songs from their newest album. AMAZING!

The Backstreet Boys had some great hits like, I Want It That Way, Larger Than Life, As Long As You Love Me-to name a few. I loved their songs, but some of the guys were kind of creapy like...AJ. To me he never seemed to really fit the rest of the band.

Now you can get a double dose of Boy Bands as NKOTB and BSB joining together as they go on tour. Personally, I would love to see the triple threat with NSYNC as well. Now that would be an AMAZING concert! I'm still waiting for the day when NSYNC does another tour.

On New Years Eve, NKOTBSB will be singing at 11:38 p.m. to 11:46 p.m. ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: Musical Performance by Backstreet Boys & NKOTB Backstreet Boys & New Kids On The Block perform a medley of their hit songs at the Nivea Countdown Stage. Click here to see the Offical Page of the New Year's Eve Countdown.

Tickets for the NKOTBSB are already on sale. Click here for more details.

And if anyone wants to go to a concert at a nearby city with me, let me know! There may not be another concert like this!

Modern Family Has A New Guest Star

Who doesn't love Modern Family? The show really has some of the best lines ever! After every show I always leave laughing or smiling. One of my biggest complaints about the show is that its only a half hour. :)

The story follows the families of Jay Ed O'Neill, his daughter Claire Julie Bowen, and his son Mitchell Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Claire is married to Phil Ty Burrell who plays an arrogant/cool hilarious father; and they have three children; Haley (totally into the wrong type of guys according to her mother), Alex (the smart kid), and Luke (who is a bit spacey and does weird things). Jay re-married young Colombian woman, Gloria Sofía Vergara, and is helping her raise her ten year old son, Manny-who acts more like an adult than a kid (Claire and Mitchell's step brother). Mitchell and his partner Cameron Eric Stonestreet have adopted a Vietnamese baby named Lily.

The cast really couldn't be any better, or could it?

According to TVSquad, James Marsdon will be on the show starring in five episodes. Marsdon plays a new neighbor to Cam and Mitchell-who meets them after jumping in their hot tub uninvited. Yes ladies, that means Marsdon will have his shirt off. LOL
Modern Family's new episode airs January 5th on ABC.

Mark Paul: Rising Beyond The Bar

All of us know and love Mark. He is best known for his roles on Saved By The Bell, NYPD Blue, or Raising the Bar. Ever since I was little Zack Morris played a big part in my life. I woke up to him every Saturday morning waiting to see what Zack might be up to. Last week I was flipping through the channels, and the had an E True Hollywood Story on the Saved By the Bell Cast. I learned that Marks first kiss was while filming Saved By the Bell. Some of the producers of the show said that ... "the kids of Saved By The Bell literally grew up in front of the cameras. The experienced first kisses, proms, graduation, and they dated each other."

I was looking on IMDB and Mark was in a relationship with Lark Voorhies aka Lisa Turtle, for three years while filming Saved By The Bell. (1989-1992) It explains a lot of chemistry they had on screen. One episode sticks out the most is where Zack helps Lisa with her fashion show and they kiss, and Screech walks in carrying some roses for Lisa. I believe he dated the other actresses from the show as well.

I also learned some cool trivia of shows that he appeared on before Saved By The Bell. (I don't count Good Morning Miss Bliss: Saved by The Bell-most of that cast bugged-Like Nikki and Mikey lol)

Blossum-as Kevin 1992
Charles in Charge- as Philip 1988
Punky Brewster- as Walker 1988
The Wonder Years- as Brad 1988
The Highway to Heaven- as Rolf 1986

I loved some of those shows. I think my dad used to watch The Highway To Heaven when I was little and that is how I know about that show. I believe it stared Michael Landon. It makes me want to go back and watch those shows. They were all classics.

Some of his hobbies are cycling, motocross and auto racing. He is also an avid pilot. Oh and his nickname is M-P, not Zack (which he probably wont answer to)-just incase you see him around town looking for motorbikes.

Mark's favorite episode of Saved by the Bell is "Running Zack", the episode where Zack explores and learns about his Native American heritage and forms a close bond with a local Indian. Mark also hated the lime light. He called himself an introvert and wished he was more like Zack Morris in School. He seems like a pretty shy guy, which was totally different from the character that he played.
AND did anyone see Mark on Jimmy Fallon when he played Zack Morris again? It was so fun to see his character again. I posted the video's below.

PART 1

PART 2

This year, Mark Paul Gosselaar has had a hard year. At the end of 2009 TNT decided to cancel Raising the Bar due to lower ratings. Then in June earlier this year He and his former wife Lisa Ann Russell, (who he met on Saved By The Bell: The College Years) and both are seeking joint custody of their two children Michael and Ava. There has been a rumor that Lisa had an affair with the Survivor Host Jeff Probst, who she was seen dating in August. Who knows for certain? Divorce is always a hard thing when children are also involved.

Since the split in June, Mark is now shooting another TV series for TNT. Any guesses on what it could be? He's done the cop thing and the attorney thing-that seem to be super popular right now. According to On The Air and IMDB Mark is doing another Attorney show called, Franklin & Bash. Mark plays Steven Bash, with cast members Breckin Meyer and Claire Coffee. TNT hasn't released an air date yet for Franklin & Bash. I'll do my best to keep you posted.

And here is just a fun video from one of the episodes of SBTB where Zack pretends to be Bambi and goes on a date with Screech.

Life Is Unexpected

One of my favorite shows right now on the CW, (along with many others) is Life Unexpected. Starring Kerr Smith as Ryan, Shiri Appleby as Cate, Kristoffer Polaha as Nate or better known as Baze, and Brittany Robertson as Lux.

Life Unexpected is currently in their second season, which to me is so much better than the first season. The show is about a mom (Cate) who got pregnant in high school and she gave her daughter up for adoption, and never told (Baze) the father of the baby. Cate thought her daughter would be adopted. Lux (the daughter) comes back into her parents lives at the age of 16 wanting her real parents to sign papers for her to be awarded emancipation, instead Cate and Baze were given costody of her. Her parents find out that Lux has lived a life of foster care, and she has lived a pretty messed up life.

According to TVSQUAD the numbers are down from season one. CW isn't going to be making the final decision about the show until May 2011. To me this is very interesting because the second season is so much better than the first.

For example: Baze is doing something with his life besides bar tending, Lux is dating a teacher, Cate and Ryan seem to be working on their relationship that crumbled and putting the pieces back, Baze has a girlfriend that he works with at his father's company; and we just found out Baze's dad has slept with Baze's girlfriend...THE SCANDAL! Lux has a brain problem from a Foster Care Dad who threw her down the stairs, and so much more.

Season 2 is definitely more dramatic and so much more interesting than the first, so this surprises me that the ratings are so low. To me 1.5 Million viewers isn't low, but I don't know much about the whole rating thing. Its always a bummer when one of your favorite shows is going to be cancelled or is cancelled.

Life Unexpected will have their two hour season finale on January 18 on the CW. Make sure you watch it! TVSQUAD also said not to plan on the whole series being wrapped up the way the fans might want it to be, but will do their best. I just found this article on TVSQUAD that on April 5 the complete series will be released on DVD, so I wouldn't plan on a return of this series.

I'd like TV ratings to somehow be able to rate all those people who DVR or TIVO their shows. I do that with almost all of my shows, and think ratings would be a lot larger for all shows, and maybe our favorites shows wont be cancelled so early.

Each season is about 13 or so episodes so there is definitely time to watch the whole series before January 18th on the CW. Whether its a goner or a miracle comeback, lets send it out with a BANG!
