It's The Ladies Choice

My Friend Ann is in this play, and my friend Linzi and I went to the show. I honestly didn't know what to expect from the play. I mean I've seen the movie tons of times, but this is performed locally. I knew I would like it, but I didn't know I would LOVE it as much as I did. It's hilarious and the music is sung well and the cast was picked perfectly!

I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for something fun to do in the next week or so. Its well worth the money. AND if you buy your tickets online you can pick your seat before you get there and its a few dollars cheaper than buying the ticket when you get there.

Go see it! My friend plays Prudy (Penny's mom). And if you see her after the show, tell her Amy sent you.

YouTube Friday: Don't You Want To Stay

This last weekend I watched Country Song. I really LOVED the music in the movie. It was SO good. I love country music, but I go in spurts of listening to Country or Pop. Lately, I've been in POP mode, and after watching Country Strong, I decided I'd try listening to a little more Country. Last night as I was driving home from a friends house, and this song came on the radio. It features Kelly Clarkson singing with Jason Aldean. I instantly fell in love with this song, and you might too.

Here is their live performance below that I found on YouTube. AND if you like the song enough, I have a link below for Amazon.

Remember to check out last Friday's post to enter a contest to win Music And Lyrics on DVD.

Life Unexpected Ends Unexpectedly

As promised, these two last episodes were full of emotion. And the last episode, you can tell that they knew the show was ending. The last ten minutes or so they wrap up the story pretty well.

The episode starts out where Lux's boyfriend Eric (aka Her School Teacher), starts having second thoughts about their relationship. During the Christmas break he had a lot of time to digest all that has happened to Lux, that he learned at the trial. He also realizes that he is doing the same thing as the older man who took advantage of her. He no longer wanted to be that guy. Baze's girlfriends son, tells Baze and Cate that Lux is at Tasha's house waiting for Mr. Daniels, AKA Eric. Baze and Cate coming in looking for him, and Lux of course says a lie that she was waiting for Jones. Meanwhile, when she thought Eric was coming over, He went over to Baze's place and talked to Matt and told him everything. They go back to Baze's place to find Eric there and he proceeds to tell them the whole story.

Lux, out of her furry tells Baze that his girlfriend, Emma has had an affair with his Dad, which breaks them apart, after he planned on buying a home for them.

Cate and Lux fight. Lux tries to trust Cate again after she claimed that she has never been there for her since she has come into her life. They eventually make up towards the end.

Cate ends up losing the baby that kept her and Ryan together. While Cate turns to leave the doctor after her final check up, she sees a lady that is pregnant. This is where my question comes in. Is that Ryan's old girlfriend? And does that mean she lied to him about being pregnant? Cate leaves the doctors and goes to Baze's bar where the whole gang is there helping him fix it, and then Cate says to Ryan, "We need to talk."

Then...

The Episode skips to two years later, at Lux's graduation; where she it looked like she was the Val-Victorian of her class of 2012. Odd. It would have been interesting to see her grow into a Rory Gilmore. Cate and Baze are together, Ryan was there with his old girlfriend and a two year old, and Lux and Jones are together, oh and Baze's friend Math seems to be with someone.

I know they didn't have enough time to wrap up the show they would have liked, as well as their fans, but I would have loved to see how their lives got to the point, at Lux's graduation. It was a great ending to the show even we didn't get to see two years of their lives. It was fun to see where all the characters ended up, and that they were all happy.

Life Unexpected only had 1.5 million viewers when CBS had over 14 million. I don't think they pulled in enough numbers for an amazing comeback. So for now we say, so long, Life Unexpected! You will be missed by your fans. And if you come back...we'll all be happy.

American Idol Changes Its Look. For Good Or Bad...You Be The Judge!

Tonight, American Idol begins for perhaps their final season. Randy Jackson is joined by two new judges Jennifer Lopez and Stephan Tyler, and hosted by Ryan Seacrest. I personally don't think American Idol will continue for too much longer. I think Simon was the rock of the show and it will definitely be a completely different show without him. I guess only time will tell. I do think with the new judges they'll bring in new fans that just want to watch the show because of them, and AI does have a great record of finding the newest big stars.

I always love the beginning of the show when people try out. American Idol is a big part of the American Dream-where you can become something you've only dreamt about. Its fun to watch their journey as one or two become the stars they always knew they were.

Watch American Idol every Wednesday and Thursday Nights on FOX.

Will you be watching?

Off The Map is the new LOST?

If any of you are LOST fans and are sad about the show ending, dry those teary eyes cause the show is back!  The show just changed its name to Off the Map. It's filmed in the same location as LOST, and have similar characters who looks like Sawyer, a super young Jack, Charollete, Michael, Kate, and Juliet. No Locke as of yet, but maybe they will bring him in for the season finale. He could be the smoke monster on the island but its too early for me to say.

It looks as though LOST, I mean Off The Map, is just taking a more Grey's Anatomy take on the jungle they now call "Africa". All joking asside, I was thinking this would be a super lame sauce show, but after watching the first episode I have to say that I really liked the show. The show starts out with three young doctors coming to a small village in Africa, and the clinic depends on the jungle for its medicine.

The guy who looks a lot like Sawyer from Lost plays more or a Jack type Character (He is the Leader/the one in charge). I think this show could have great potiential if its done right. The show can definately do things that other doctor shows can't do, since they are in the jungle.

And, Hey! If you are a Twilight Fan, you'll have to watch the Original Vicotria, who lost her role in the third movie due to taking this role. Now you can watch her every week on Wednesday on ABC.

Know Your Frenemies-PLL

Another great episode. Right now there is WAY to much focus on Noel for him to be A that its getting ridiculous. I think he's just that is used to getting what he wants, and is good at manipulating others. Really...who has the audacity to reprint your assignment and give it back to your teacher, and demand a grade? And then he starts to spread the gossip around school that Mr. Fitz is dating a student. All liars end up getting caught in the end, when he is caught cheating on tests so he can plays sport.

A was pretty harsh on Hanna this episode. I felt bad for her, having to sit there and eat all the cupcakes and be teased by the guys. Of course, Noel was seen in this scene to distract the viewers, that he was watching her and making sure she ate the cupcakes. Then she finds some of the money on the paper towel roll, in the bathroom. A definitely wants her to feel humiliated. I think she may have done something to this person to make A want her to know how it feels.

I was actually really excited when Mr. Fitz was going to resign from being a teacher, and then A saves the day by getting Noel in trouble. I think that whole story has been dragged out, and he either needs to start teaching at another school, or they just need to end it. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Emily's girlfriend Maya gets sent away because Emily's mom finds some drugs in her backpack. In some ways I'm glad Maya is gone. There is something about Maya that I've never liked. I think its the way she talks. Way to sweet like that it seems super fake. Less scenes with her not in them, the better.

Spencer, Aria, and Hanna go through some of Ian's things to see if they can find any evidence that links him to Allison. After Emily and Maya have their final goodbye, A sends them a video of Allison and Ian together at the kissing rock. It shows Allison's hand that looks dead and then it moves. I don't think this is when Allison actually dies. I do think that Ian knows a little more than he is letting on, and maybe just wants his relationship with Allison a secret, and could know who killed her. Spencer and Melissa's relationship seems really fake. If you have never gotten along with your sister, why would you share secrets with her? It almost seems like she is doing it for another reason.

Two suspects that they didn't even show in this episode were Jenna and Mona. The more and more I think about it, the more and more suspicious I become of Mona. This is why. Mona and Hanna used to be best friends, then Hanna starts hanging out Allison and the gang. She could be jealous of the whole group because she was never apart of it.

In episodes to come, there are reports that Lucas and Jenna will have some surprising "secrets" revealed.

Series Finale: Life Unexpected

Don't forget to watch the series finale of Life Unexpected, tonight on the CW. This will be a two hour finale. Episode titles are Teacher Schooled and Affair Remembered.

Obviously, everyone is finally going to find out about Lux and Eric dating, and the secret of Baze's girlfriend and his dad's affair comes out in the open. These episodes will be sure to pull on your emotional cord.

Candace Cameron: Overcoming Bulimia

We all know Candace as one of our favorite daughters from Full House, but did you know that once Full House was over, Candace battled with bulimia? After the show she had to adjust to a new life without the show, and having a husband.

My thoughts on why she became bulimic, is at the end of the day, she didn't have Stephanie or Michelle to tattle on her, when she threw up dinner. Can't you just imagine this being and episode of Full House...or was it? Even though it wasn't bulimia, didn't Stephanie or DJ not eat for a while trying to lose some weight? I think so. And can't you see Danny-making sure her bathroom had a fresh pine scent to it. Joey saying "Cut, it, out.",And Jessie saying, "Not the hair." The whole cast would help her out by the end of the episode, or getting her the help she needed. Her support system, although it was a script, a TV show, her childhood, camera's, the lights, and her TV Family was over. Life was changing in a big way for her, and I can only imagine how hard that would be to change your life, as you once knew it.

All joking aside, Bulimia is really a serious sickness, and can be very dangerous if not treated. I can't imagine what it would be like to try and retrain your way of thinking and overcoming bulimia or anorexia.

Candace said this about her battle with bulimia, "It wasn't about me trying to lose weight, It was all about emotions."

"It's a very dangerous cycle that can just start to consume your life and really take over."

Candace has now overcome Bulimia by exercising with her own full house, with husband Valeri Bure (NHL Hockey Player), and kids Natasha, 12, Lev, 10, and Maks, 8, and a diet philosophy that allows everything – including dessert.

Candace will be featured in the People Magazine Jan. 17 issue, and is releasing her new book called, Reshaping It All, sharing her diet secrets.
