SMALLVILLE: Collateral

HALLELUJAH! Smallville is back on TV. It feels like forever since we’ve seen a new episode. AND who isn't excited for Chloe Sullivan to be back on the show!

The episode starts with Lois trying to find Clark, and Clark walks in the door and tells Lois it was the VRA and that they were waiting for them at Carter’s Funeral. He also tells Lois that they have taken away his powers. Clark starts to have flashbacks of what happened to him. Someone sticking him with needles and then he sees Chloe’s face.

Oliver ends up going crazy from flashbacks of tests being done on him and seeing Chloe’s face. Clark finds him in an insane asylum. When Clark leaves, the lights flicker and pop, and then Chloe appears to Oliver when she comes out of the wall. Totally weird, right. I wasn’t sure what the devil was going on.

Chloe tells him the government was waiting for them at Carter’s Funeral and their minds are trapped in a virtual world, and that their real bodies are laying in a lab, and she tried to save them, but couldn’t so she created the virtual world to try and save them. She tells him everything he sees is fake, and they need to escape by jumping from the Daily Planet where they escape through the real world, and jump back into reality.

Chloe tells Clark that if he doesn’t escape this world, they will be able to control his powers not only in the virtual world but in the real world.

Chloe says to Clark, “Do You Trust Me?” A line I believe is from Aladdin when he says that to Jasmine before he takes her for a ride on his magic carpet. LOL Clark declines and Chloe and Oliver jump and Oliver and Chloe are now in the real world. When Oliver returns he finds out that Chloe has teamed up with an unexpected group.

Chloe returns to the virtual world to help save Clark and Lois. Chloe convinces Lois to help Clark to take the leap of faith to jump out of the virtual world. Clark has a hard time believe in Chloe because he doesn’t know if he can trust Chloe again because she didn’t tell him why she left. Clark has to decide if he will trust Chloe and take a leap of faith and trust her again.

Meanwhile, Chloe’s real body was knocked out by the government, and the government controls Chloe’s virtual self, and tries to convince Clark that he is crazy, and that they shouldn’t jump. Chloe in the real world is taken hostage by the government and Chloe’s new friends help save the day.

When Clark and Lois reach the top of the Daily Planet Chloe is waiting for him telling him not to jump. Then multiple Chloe’s appear and Lois tells Clark to trust him self and to take the leap of faith. Clark takes Lois and the jumps and they fly around the Daily Planet. After enjoying the flight for a minute, Clark flies down into the portal with Lois.

After Clark returns to the real world, Clark and Chloe are talking in the Kent Home. Clark asks Chloe, How she does it, Trusting him before she knew his secret.
Its not trust if you ask someone to tell them everything.

And Lois asks Chloe is be her Bridesmaid.

Oliver waits for Chloe at watchtower holding flowers for Chloe. Oliver tells her he wished she would have called him. And how hard it was when she was gone listening to old voice mails and scanning faces in the public and searching for her smile. Chloe tells Oliver that she is sticking around for a while…and then they kiss.

Clark is in the barn and tells her thank you for believing in him and helping him believe. Lois believe Clark is capable of anything, even the unthinkable.

The episode at first was a little weird with the whole avatar thing, but I love the idea and they had to do something when they showed everyone all blanked out at Carter's funeral.

Next episode looks really good. Lucas Grabeel is back as a younger Lex Luther. He is signed on for two episodes Beacon and Scion. It will be great to have him back, but we are all wanting Michael Rosenbaum back as Lex. If you don't want to hear any more Spoilers I suggest you stop reading now. Michael Rosenbaum is coming back!!!!!! As of right now he will be in Episode 20, called Prophecy. (Posted by IMDB) AND guess who else is returning...ZOD! OH NO! The two together will make for a scary duo as they team up against Clark. (At least that is what I'm thinking.) I have a feeling we're in for an exciting ending.

Below is the preview for next weeks episode.
